Bowling for Kids' Sake 2017
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Columbia serves to foster lasting mentor relationships between Bigs and Littles in Richland and Lexington Counties. We rely on grants and donations to keep serving our community. Bowl for Kids' Sake is our largest annual event, and this year we have added mini-events, new prize categories, a live band, and much more, including the option to sponsor a lane for a Big and Little to bowl during the event. We are also encouraging everyone to wear their princess buns or wookie masks and have fun being a kid for a day while helping the children in your community.
Sponsored teams will be eligible to immediately register for a time slot. Unsponsored teams will unlock their lane time reservation request upon meeting their minimum goal of $300.
Given our overhead, each unsponsored team needs to raise a minimum of $300 for their hour of bowling. Teams are up to 6 people, which means that's as little as $50 a person. We are strongly encouraging all teams to set their public goal to no less than $3000. That's as low as $500 per team member. That means, if each team member knows 10 people who would give $50 for a good cause, you have met your goal. We will provide e-Packets to help our team members use social media to meet their goals. We will also do a weekly call-in for team captains so that we can share ideas and resolve any and all issues.
